1967 VOLKSWAGEN BEETLE 1 OWNER CAR!!! ALWAYS GARAGED
Description
This car has had 1 owner since it was new. He passed away and it was left to his adult children. They decided to sell this one and restore the 73 instead so here's your chance. The motor was rebuilt 7000 miles ago with a new clutch and all teh paperwork is with the car. But the dates are from 1986! so not much driving the last 30 years. It has been sitting in the garage since 2001 except for a few runs around the block. Then the brakes went the main line from front to back has rusted and caused the fliud loss so the rides stopped about 5 yrs ago and has just been sitting and started in the garage. Once it got to my shop we drained the fluids cleaned out the fuel lines drop in new oil and fuel cleaned up the points and she started right up like it ran yetserday> No ticking no smoking nothing weird at all other then she wont idle unless you are holding the pedal just a little so the carb need some help. The floors are rotted and will need to be replaced but the rest of the body looks pretty good. It had a repaint in it's life but looks to be the same color. I have driven it around the block using the parking brake which works very good and the transmission shifts very nice. It will need a rag joint for the steering to work properly it has rotted away over time. It will probably need some attention but this is an easy fixer to drive or do a full resto on. The '67 bug has a lot of only year things like the door handles the rear deck lid and it's the first year for a 12 volt electrical system to name a few. The paperwork I have even has the radio warranty from the dealer with the previous owners name on it to from 1967. Please look over the pictures closely, ask me anything you want to and if your close and want to come see it thats great! thanks for looking and good luck!!
