1968 VW Tin-top Westfalia Camper Bus
Description
1968 VW Tin-top Westfalia Camper Bus. It hasn't really been on the road much in the last 3 years, but I've driven it around town a few times recently. The brakes need pumping, but work. It may just need more brake fluid. The E-brake works and holds fine. The transmission seems fine - all gears work. The tires hold air and are fine for now. The engine runs strong but has a slight exhaust leak and sounds loud. It has a slight oil leak (see last photo) and burns some oil as well. Wipers work. Lights work. Horn doesn't. Steering is normal for an old VW Bus. Doors open and shut fine. The driver's side door was replaced at some time in the past. The door is still white on the inside. I spent a bunch of time stripping off an ugly purple/plum respray and now has a great patina look with much of the OG "Montana Red" showing through. It has a few Westfalia camper interior parts which seem original, but I'm not 100% sure. The back seat folds down into a bed. It hassentbelts. There are a few rust spots. Nothing too bad. I tried to show them in the photos. I have a video of it running. Email me for the video if you're interested. It will drive fine onto a trailer. It comes with a replacement used windshield and a couple boxes of goodies. I'm willing to coordinate with your shipper if you don't come pick it up yourself, but I'd like itgone by June 24 ifpossible. Thanks!
