Description

You are bidding on a nice Driver Survivor 1974 super beetle. It is not fully restored and at some point heater channels and possibly floor boards will need replaced. Pan has three repairs one recent passenger foot well two olde, battery box and seat pedestal for driver seat. Vehicle was purchased in a lot of three cars was the best of three for a Quick 6 month turn over. Original plan was to make driver as is and endorse the ever popular ratty driver idea. As the can of worms was opened one thing led to another. Rear Death Foam repairs shown in pictures link, repaired floor board on passenger side as well as heater channel was repaired not replaced. Replaced two front fenders with aftermarkets rear fenders were hammered out and refinished. Replaced Rear engine compartment surround and apron with OE sheet metal from donor southern car. Overall this is a fairly solid car for its age and being an Ohio Native. Car was Ziebarted undercoated front frame head area is very solid. Inner fender wells would need repair if doing heater channels. Replaced all brake shoes, wheel cylinders lines, hoses and master cylinder, repaired Clutch tube and Accelerator cable tube that was rusted solid never seen that one. Engine is a top end rebuild with remanufactured heads has dished pistons engine runs very well. New 34pict3 carb not rebuilt new. New exhaust solid heater boxes. Car was originally slated to be touch up painted turned into a whole paint job ford shocker yellow in dupont base clear. Wheels and bumpers were refinished in hammertone new tires. Repaired any wiring that needed it added new H4 headlights and Halos wired to turn signals. Rear lenses were replaced with new beetle style lenses and housings all bulbs are LED including dome light, floor lighting. Cd player with amp and sub box. Rpelaced door panels, replaced restored rear pop outs. All window rubber replaced. Interior carpet removed and cleaned relaced tar boards as needed with Sound deadener Re dyed all seats to have consistant black color Rear seats are original cover s and padding Front seats appear to be recovered with Foam padding not horse hair. Headliner is original with a few small tears in back nothing tragic. All suspension gone through and either replaced or verified safe, functional. Again this is not a complete restore just planning on a driver. If you want a Bug to drive in good weather and take to a car show or go to the beach etc this is a car for you. It is priced accordingly and is in far better mechanical and cosmetic shape than many you will see posted around this price range. Its not perfect, Its not a basket case Its safe, as reliable as a VW can be has a fair paint job and could be enjoyed for a little while without having to dump a bunch of money in it or do a complete restore on one and having double this amount a car that’s Equally useable. 500 non refundable deposit due on auction end.
