1974 VOLKSWAGEN BUS
Up for sale is my super clean 1974 VW Bus.This bus was kept in the garage unused for 20 years by previous owner,then it received a full overhaul with new interiorand exterior paint and brand new complete interior.I encourage any potential buyers to see it in person and make a drive test.California clear title under my name and current registration.
EXTERIOR:
- Bus was painted inside and out removing all windows.- Wheel arches, rockers panels and jack points are super solid with no rust.- Very straight body with very minor chips around.- Straight front and back bumpers painted in white including bumper guards with rubber.- Nice condition turn signals.- One key locks all doors.- New windows, doors, tail gate and engine lid rubber.
INTERIOR:
- New front, middle and rear seats upholstery in brown and tan.- New matching door panels all around.- New headliner.- Solid front floors.- Front windows roll up and down freely.- Great condition dashboard with a minor crack.- New sunvisors.- New replacement tire cover.- New step pads.- New windshield nozzels.- New pedal pads and shift boot.
MECHANICAL AND SUSPENSION:
- Excellent running condition with conversion upright motor.- $850 complete engine overhaul including but not limited to:- Major tune up with new spark plugs, wires, distributor cap,rotor, valve adjustment and oil change.- New clutch kit with resurfaced flywheel, main seal and O ring.- Replaced manifold, intake boots, gaskets and alternator pulley.- New fuel lines, clamps, filter.- Good brakes.- Very nice suspension.- Starts up at any time.- Needs steering box adjustment or possibly replacement.
ELECTRICAL:
- All electrical system is working good, including headlights, taillights,turn signals, speedometer, gas gauge, horn, etc.
THINGS THAT NEED ATTENTION:
- Tires- Sliding door rubber seal.- Steering box- Rear license plate light.- Engine conversion tin ($250 at aircooled shop)
OVERALL THIS BUS NEEDS MINOR DETAILING AND A VW ENTHUSIAST TO ENJOYDRIVING AROUND AND BEING THE CENTER OF ATTENTION.
