Description

It didn't sell so I'll try again with a lower starting price. But if it doesn't sell with this, I may keep it or part it out.The car starts and runs well with the exception below. Some extra parts included and I will throw in a Bentley's and a Subaru repair manual.
When I bought the car in Vermont a few years ago it was advertised with really low miles and as a California car. Both were wrong. It spent most of its life in NY and the speedo was changed. Also, it was in water up to the top of the tires or more, I suspect.
The 2.1 L waterboxer turned out to be a problem so I did the conversion to a 95 Subaru with 105,000 miles. New head gaskets (just as a preventive), new clutch, and Rocky Mountain Westy kit with the shorter oil pan. There is no reserve and the starting price is essentially the price for the RMW kit and the Suby stuff.
The pictures show the dent in the rear right, rust at the seam, and the patch in the driver's step.Roof racks are from a Surburban. I pulled the center seat and put in hardwood floor. Jump seat frames are homemade but the seats are brand new. They tilt with one pin pull and remove with 3 pins. Oil pressure and voltage gauge added.
Holes on the front door cards are from a bad installation of power windows. Converted back to manual but the parts to go auto will be included. They didn't have the guts to raise the windows.
Starts right up but hesitates from 2K to 3K rpm. I'm told it might be vacuum or the idle air valve. Probably should ship or trailer until the hesitation is fixed and it gets some more miles with the engine installation (and the wiring is sealed). I haven't put many miles on it with the 2.1 or the Subaru engine and just don't have the time or inclination to work on it anymore. I'm getting old and have too many projects.
Tires very good. Wiring need to be cleaned up since it was installed just to verify operation. 2 new A/c hoses but not wired . Holes in headliner.
Consider it a relatively sound car that's not far from being a daily use vehicle. It's just not there yet.
I have a request for some pictures of the undercarriage. A good idea. I'll get some taken today or tomorrow and post them. The under has lots of surface rust but I don't remember any "deep" rust that would be a problem.
The pictures that I took with a jack are added. It's better than I thought for most of it. I think the green tint on some is because they were over a grass section. Also included a picture of the included books.
