My wife and I are in the middle of a divorce. I have moved out of my house and now my extra vehicle must be sold.
I had the vehicle built for me about 6 yrs ago in the state of Washington. We got the 1.9 TD code AAZ out of a VW ( I believe 96 ) Gulf. It had just under 90k on it. I had a new Turbo installed along with a new injection pump (not rebuilt). It also got a new headliner, leather seats, and a upgraded dashboard (it is no longer the leather type). It also got a new paint, new door cards, steering wheel from a Scirocco. I put in a remote power door lock. And many other misc. parts. This was a 3rd vehicle and has not got much use. I live on the beach so the salt air has gotten to the paint. The paint is fair not shiny as when i first got it. The vehicle runs and drives great.
Last month I took it to the mechanic for some attention before selling. It received New front passenger spindle. New brakes, New parking brake cables (2). New Alternator. The battery and starter are less then 6 months old. It does not leak, burn or drip any oil.
What the car needs:
1) when the spindle was put on, the steering wheel now is no longer centered.
2) The plastic arm for the vent control broke.
3)Turbo boost gauge is pegged. I believe it's a bad ground
4) The car is 98% rust free with about 2% superficial rust. NO rust in wheel wells
The vehicle is smog exempt in Calif ( because of its age)
When I Built the car I spent about 15k then another grand to have it shipped here,and another grand in tax. Needless to say I have a Butt load in it. That does not include the grand I spent in the last 6 months.
Tires are only fair. I will put new tires on a upon sale of my asking price.
P.S. It has a clean title and a crappy stereo.
