This is a ground up restoration and a very unique build that is a great driver or addition to any collection. Car includes many subtle and unique features that are rarely, if ever seen on a vintage VW including custom tilt steering column, aftermarket steering wheel and shifter, lowered suspension, aftermarket Alpine radio/cd player with built-in speaker boxes, BF Goodrich mags on Empi rims and black powder coated trim all around. New 1600cc dual port motor with slight cam and larger exhaust ports with chrome shielding, matching plug wires and clear distributor, etc. Car was originally fuel injected but has been correctly converted to carburetor for better reliability. Everything on this car has been replaced or refurbished from the ground up. Frame all POR painted to match car, all new suspension parts, interior including seats, carpet, seat belts, trim, window seals, handles, cranks, knobs, headliner and upgraded convertible top and boot. All lights work, gas level indicator works and I even added an electric pump for the windshield washer reservoir.
