Description

The Beloved Beetle needs no introduction as it is the most iconic car of all time with over 21 MILLION units sold from 1938 through 2003. These cars have prved themselves through time and time again. This particular VW has some tremendous history that is worth the asking price alone. It was purchased new by a gentleman in Orlando FL from AJ Pierson Sales and Service on August 3, 1964. The couple that bought the car used this car as... their Winter Florida car as they were snowbirds. There Winter home was in Eustis Florida . We know this because we have every piece of document that you could imagine. We have the original sales invoice, title, dealer correspondence, salesman business card, window sticker and service log book with the owners name. In addition we have every service record including oil changes that were dealer performed in sequential order until the late 1980's. The car then traded hands and was sold to the current consignor in 2002 when he picked it up from the seller in North Carolina. Until this day, the car had never been north of NC and had zero rust. In 2005 the current owner stripped the paint down to bare metal leaving the interior paint and trunk interior completely original. No body work was ever needed and the only slightly rust piece on this entire car was the battery tray which is common and expected. A single state urethane was used which is very durable and still shines very nicely. It also matches the interior paint as close as can be expected. This car has been adult owned, maintained and stored and it shows. The car currently has 5" narrowed beam with machined tubes that was tig welded in a jig. The rear spring plates are Womack and are adjustable. That being said, this car goes down the road nice and strait and is very pleasurable to drive. The speedometer has been calibrated, has new tires, new battery and has been converted from 6v to 12V with the appropriate electrical upgrades. This car starts on a dime, shifts perfectly and garners attention everywhere it goes. There is more to information on the car if you are interested but it is priced to sell.
