~ What a find! ~
We were lucky enough last month to stumble upon this car in Northern Maine.
Car has lived a pretty privileged life!
I like it a lot and if its here in a few weeks I may just Keep it!
~ No Accidents! ~
It was first purchased Hawaii. This is where she became pink.
In the 70's it was purchased by a Textile mill owner in Edgecomb Maine and shipped there.
When the family left the state the last owner before us got her at their estate sale 15 years ago.
They transported it back and forth to Florida every year as their retirement car.
At some point he decided to restore it but it got put to the side.
~ So ~
This is as far as they got:
The body was taken off and new heavy gauge floor boards installed.
Pop-Out rear Quarter Windows
New Gas Tank & Fuel Lines
Replaced Entire Brake System
Including:
Master Cylinder,
New Wheel Cylinders, Lines, Hoses,
Rear Drums & Shoes, Front Disks & Calipers.
Engine:
Running 1600cc
"AE" Dual Port, Dual Relief Case
Removed From Car for Bodywork
Had some maintenance. I.E. Head Torque checked etc.
Dual Solex Kadron carburetors rebuilt by Kaddie Shack
Single quiet pack Header Exhaust
Electronic Fuel Pump at the tank
We haven't done much to it since we purchased it.
So as far as what it needs.. Very Little.
Body is straight with No Dents, No Accidents!
The interior was removed So all it has is seats. Maybe Door Cards
Dash needs to be sanded and painted or replace the decals
Some rust on the Rockers but its super solid.
With a little fresh gas and a good battery the engine fired right up.
We were able to drive it on and off the trailer.
Set the valves and do a basic tune up and it should be a runner.
Has a Scat trigger Shifter that needs to be re-aligned or tightened down.
Car can not be driven on the road. You will need to have it transported.
