1962 VW BEETLE, LOW MILES

Description

This car has been in the same family since new. It has spent its life as a garaged summer car in East Hampton. It had a repaint about 30 years ago. It has just under 67,000 miles. It was parked in the garage in 1990 and not taken out again until 2012. Since that time all four tires were replaced, all the brake shoes, wheel cylinders, brake hoses and brake master cylinder were replaced. A new battery and starter were installed. It also had a complete tune up done, the valves were adjusted, the carb was rebuilt and a new gas tank was installed. George thought he was going to drive it again, but he has hardly used it. So he has decided to sell it. The car is a nice driver, the floors are solid and there does not seem to be any rust issues except (there always is an except)there is a 2 inch hole under the battery. This car runs, shifts and stops with no issues. You can drive this car as is or do a restoration. This car is being sold with a NY State transferable registration.
