1968 Karmann Ghia Coupe NO RESERVE
Description
It's definitely not perfect, but gets attention everywhere I go. Runs and drives very well. New side trim and badges. New black carpet kit, door panels and seat covers. new white headliner. All new window seals. Headlights, tail lights and turn signals work. The bumpers are original. Painted "Hot Rod" black (satin) with white Port a Wall tire trim. The engine is a 1600dp with 34 pct 3 carb. I put a new svda distributor, new fuel filter (which I moved out of the engine compartment), new header and dual bugpack exhaust. The engine leaks (like most), but I have a complete rebuild kit for it. The floor pans are good up front, but there are patches behind the seats. The previous owner put in metal plates over the affected areas. The windshield wipers don't work. I haven't trouble shooted them yet, but I have a backup motor as well, and since I live in AZ, rain has not been an issue. Fuel guage works, but the clock does not. No radio. There are extra gauges from another ghia I had as well. The front has disc brakes and 2 1/2" dropped spindles and a stock beam with new tie rods. New speedometer cable. The rear has 2 " drop plates. I also have a ton of extra parts including rear disc brakes (new, not used), clutch, pressure plate, various gaskets kits, extra transmission core with axles, full pans for both sides, extra badges and scripts. Great fundamental car that needs very little to be top notch. That's all I can think of, but if you have a question about something I didn't cover, just let me know. I reserve the right to cancel auction at any time as the car is for sale locally in my area. $500.00 is due within 24 hours of auction close.
