For sale here is a 1963 Volkswagen Single Cab, motor is a 1300cc 4 cylinder with a Bosch distributer and Solex carburetor. It has recently been serviced with a fresh oil change and new spark plug wires. A new battery and a new gas tank have also been installed. Motor runs strong and pulls hard through all gears, starts right up and has proven to be very dependable. No noises no smoke, the motor is in great shape. The motor is mated to a factory 4 speed manual transmission that has been fully rebuilt and has a new clutch installed. Very smooth and easy to shift into every gear.
New tires recently installed all around, rears are P185 / 60R14 Futura GLS and the fronts are 165 / 55R14 Economist ATR-K. Complete braking system has been refreshed, cross-drilled rotors and new calipers have been installed up front and new drum have been installed in the rear. All brake lines are new and system was bleed and fresh brake fluid was added. Brakes are in perfect working condition.
New floors all around have been installed including in the luggage compartment and everything is solid. Everything has been sealed up with undercoating and the body has been painted with a layer of clear coat to preserve the finish. The cab features safari windows and all exterior lighting works. The luggage compartment door and bed panels have several spots where it has rusted (see pictures) overall the truck has a very interesting and unique patina look.
The interior has received a new steering wheel and the bench seat has been reupholstered. All gauges work as they should. The doors have wood panels installed and new interior door handles. All glass is present and in excellent condition.
