Built by champion rat rod builder Chris Walker and his team for the 2014 Rat Rod Magazine Rat Hard Build Off, Bugly combines a 1964 Volkswagen Beetle with a 19397 Chevy Humpback wrapped around a custom built ITW Hot Rods frame and chassis. a powerful front mounted 1958 Continental CESNA Airplane motor... and yes- its air cooled. We've had our fun with this legendary build, you will too!
Bugly won Runner Up in the 2014 Rat Rod Magazine National Build Off Competion. It has appeared in numerous magazine articles, and is the subject of countless online articles, videos etc. Just search "Bugly" or "Volkswagon Rat Rod with Airplane motor" to see them all.
A show stopper at every show, and winner of trophies time and time again.
Absolutely unique, not another one like it.
The car has a clean Minnesota Title, however the VIN number is not on the vehicle. This could mean some extra steps for you to title the vehicle in your state, so please check with your state before bidding.
The car has driven across the country and the motor runs but recently has been showing low oil pressure. That is why this piece of Rat Rod history could be yours for a steal with a rock bottom reserve.
Also note, for fun, another unique feature- the car was built with right hand drive.
Please understand, this is a RAT ROD. A complete running driving Rat Rod, but a Rat Rod. There is no finish on the metal.
Please ask questions if you have them prior to bidding.
Happy Bidding and Good Luck!
