I've owned this Herbie for just over 6-years and have honestly had a blast driving #53 every time I'm behind the wheel.Looksa lot like a 1963 but a few things give away that this Herbie is actually a 1977 standard Beetle. You'll get a lots of attention in this Volkswagen, smiles everywhere! Not a show car, not perfect, but lovablejust the same. Well maintained and dependabletransportation driven on nice days always filled with non-ethanol gas for the last 6-years, so runs great. Good stuff.
-Runs great, drives straight down the road, shifts with ease.-Original VW "sport Beetle" steering wheel.-Rag top sunroof. -Seats re-done & door panels new a few years ago.-Rare leather VW steering wheel from a 1973 "Sports Beetle". Original VW. -Previous owner did LOTS of cool things like making Herbie look like a 1963, the "Monte Carlo" gas cap, engraved plastic dash & custom rear THELOVEBUG emblem.-Also has horn with multiple sounds. Dog barking, chicken, frog, etc. You can ever talk through the speaker. -Lights, high/low beam, signals, horn, radio with iPod connection, interior light, speedometer, gas gauge & dash lights all working.-Rare P215/65 R15 radial Eagle GT tires still have plenty of life left. -Working heat.-Very solid 42-year old Beetle with very little rust.
