Description

I have barely used this bus in the last 2 years.Im looking to sell it so I can get something else.
Theres a seat in back that turns into a bed, a card table and sink with some storage space. They are in good condition and the sink works.
First with the bad: it could use some new tires. There is no stereo. There are some rust spots. The front seats need to be repaired. The bed/seat in back has some damage. The pop top has a tear in it. There is some damage on the floor near the sliding door. I took pictures of all the bad spots. The mechanic recommended replacing the tie rod ends and drag link as well as replacing the CV boot. The brakes need to be repaired. A lot of the brake work has been done. See below.
The good: I had the engine replaced in 2005 but I dont have the paperwork for it. Just about everything else has been replaced or repaired within the last 2 years. I have the service records that I will provide to the winning bidder. I spent $7422.03 in the last 2 years. These repairs include: new fuel pump, new fuel line and filter from tank to pump, new hoses to carburetors, new ignition wire set, new muffler, the oil and filter were changed in May and a major tune up was done 2 years ago, new igniter, new voltage regulator, new alternator, new battery, new battery cables, the engine compartment seal has been replaced, new engine mount nut, its had a full tune-up with valve adjustment, new distributor with vacuum assist, new rear brake shoes and wheel cylinder, new front brake hoses, new right rear brake hose, new steering coupler, the carburetors have been rejetted, new ignition wire, new rear wheel seal, new vacuum elbows. There are some more minor things like replacing some brake light bulbs, that has been done as well.
So it needs some more work but it’s well worth doing. I have spent $7422.00 in the last 2 years having it repaired professionally by a VW mechanic. I have all the service records. Everything inside works. Like the sink. The back seat turns into a bed. There’s a card table and some storage space. The top pops up so you can stand inside.
You don’t see these busses for sale anymore. If you do they are all fixed up and the sellers want a lot. It wouldn’t take much to get this one in tip top shape. It just needs some cosmetic work.
I don’t mind shipping it but you would be responsible for making the arrangements and paying for the shipping. All I want to do is hand over the keys. I will put your paperwork in the glove compartment. Otherwise if you’re local you can come check it out in person. It can drive without brakes. I just down shift. So we can test drive it. If you want anymore information let me know. Sold as-is.
