NO RESERVE vw bug, 1 family owned for 50 years!
Description
This is a NO RESERVE auction, there is no "buy it now" price! It takes time, money, and effort to post on here, only bid if you fully intend to close the deal if you bid and win!
This is a very solid example of a Texas vw beetle! I see no rust on this car except for the battery trey has been repaired with a metal patch welded in.The floors are original otherwise. There are no signs of the car being hit.I was told that the car was purchased new by the original owner in 1968, and then the car was passed on the the son in the early 2000's. The son owned till last year. Odometer shows approximately 92k miles, I believe it is accurate, given how nice it drives, but cannot verify. The car fires right up, usually without even hitting the gas! Transmission shifts smoothly, brakes had recent work done, new hard line, soft line, and wheel cylinders etc. Steering is nice and tight for a bug,1500 cc engine is original, (h5 case) pretty stock, other than an electronic ignition, newer 009 style distributor with electronic ignition, and performance exhaust .Front and rear windows have recent seals, dash pad has been replaced, Original radio is with the car,not currently installed. Wheels are aftermarket chrome steelies with 4 new tires just installed, both bumpers are new. Car has dealer installed A/C, it looks like its all there, minus the compressor. The car has been off the road since 2013 when the classic registration/tags expired, Runs nice and strong though! This is not a beat to death old bug, it has been well cared for over the years, and it shows. Steering is tight, doors close nice and soli, seats aren't all broken down, it is truly a pleasure to drive! Having said that, it is not perfect, it is over 50 years old, minor scratches/imperfections here and there, but nothing that takes away from it turning heads! Its a little dusty in the pics, but shines up nicely! I have the clean, clear TX title in hand. You are bidding to OWN the car, not the right of first refusal, only bid if you fully intend to close the deal, therefore the $500 deposit is due at the end of the auction and is not refundable. You are welcome to set up a time to come see the car or ask questions and I will do my best to accommodate you. Thanks for looking!
