I am selling this for a 80 year old friend. Runs great, and a blast to drive. 72,500 miles. This VW just made a trip to Rare & Unique VW in Bradenton. They are a nationally known VW restoration shop, recognized for impeccable work. They looked it over, and told us it is a very clean survivor. It has original floorboards with no rust, and only the smallest amount of surface rust on the exterior body, and I do mean small. The body of the car is straight with no damage. The bumpers are rusted, so another set of bumpers would look nice. The VW shop said reproduction bumpers are very inexpensive. Interior is all there, and in wonderful, complete condition. The engine runs amazing, but idles a little low when rolling up to a stop. I am sure it could use some fine tuning. The transmission shifts marvelously through all gears and easily into reverse. Clutch feel great and brakes feel great. It tracks like an arrow down the road at 65mph, and is remarkably smooth over bumps. This car is a rare find in this condition.
