Very sharp two-tone example with original 1600cc air-cooled engine! Classic Super Beetle design highlighted with chrome wheels, upgraded audio system, new black top and more! Great cruiser ready for the warmer weather ahead!
The Karmann Super Beetle was introduced in 1971 and saw a host of changes, and improvements, nearly each and every year it was produced through 1979. This longer wheelbase platform offered a better overall suspension, turning radius, improved storage volume and larger 1600cc engine. This engine brought 58 horsepower to the table which was enough to scoot this tiny, nimble car to speed adequately! A convertible options raised the fun factor and found new buyers seeking a more sun-centric way to cruise!
We are very excited to offer this 1975 Volkswagen Super Beetle Convertible! The car is finished in a two-tone black and white with black convertible top and boot! The car is fitted with its original motor that has since been converted to a less stressful Solex H30/3/PICT carburetor set-up. The power is transferred through a 4-speed manual gearbox. The car has several nice features including aftermarket Alpine AM/FM/cassette player with Alpine speakers, dual outside mirrors, carpeted trunk, windshield washer system and folding rear seat with extra storage. The car rides on chrome 15 inch wheels with 165R15 Goodyear Corsa GT tires!
The car is surviving most recently out of a Southern Missouri collection and is in fantastic shape! While not completed yesterday, the paint and brightwork are very presentable and this is a Beetle that one should not hesitate to drive or show! The engine fires right up and the Solex carb is dialed in. The car has a new top and boot, new brake hoses and a rebuilt starter. Also included is an original spare (dated 11/74) and original jack. We would invite any interested parties to call on this road-ready Super Beetle! Thanks for looking!
