1967 Volkswagen Squareback Type 3 1641cc Turn Key Show Car!
Description
Up for sale is my 1967 Volkswagen Type 3 Squareback. I absolutely love this car but it's time to move on. I purchased the car out of Phoenix, Arizona from the Dad and Son that restored it. The car was not a frame off restoration but was taken completely apart. Included are all the pics that were provided to me when I purchased the car. The interior is red and black and came in a kit from Jbugs.com. I can't tell you exactly what the paint color is but it's a great color of silver. There is some AMAZING pin-striping done on the car that really sets it apart. The body work is pretty dang straight and the paint is clear and shinny. If you look really hard you can see one imperfection in the paint on the entire car and that is located on the driver's side front fender. The mileage reads 82k but I can't verify what the mileage actually is. The car speaks for itself!
There are some chips in the paint because I DRIVE the car. I've taken the car on several weekend road trips, one up to 7 hours one way and it did amazing. There are a couple chips on the hood, a couple on the rails of the roof, and one or two on the rest of the car. The windshield is cracked but it doesn't leak so it doesn't bother me enough to fix it. The motor is a 1641 with Dual Carbs. Fresh oil change a couple weeks ago. The floor pans are solid. The underside was coated with an undercoating to freshen up the look. Definitely not to hide anything. There is a small rust spot on the very inside of the back left fender. You have to crawl all the way under the car to see it. I just noticed it when I was installing the exhaust. It did have a Porsche Megs Racing Exhaust but the tip broke recently so I replaced the whole system. You can have it as well. I just installed a Tri-Mill Exhaust before the last road trip in March. The tires are 165/80-15 and are pretty much brand new. They are sitting on an awesome set of Chrome Wheels with Porsche Hubcaps. Three of the tires are Nankang and one is a Nexen. Not sure why one is a different brand but it's fine with me. The car has an aftermarket ignition due to the stock one going out (you can see it in the pics) The doors and hatch all lock with the same key though. I installed new door seals from ISP West out of California. All the glass is original. I do have a box of extra parts for Squarebacks in general along with some extra fenders. This is not my first Squareback so I've collected some parts over the years. I have a new speedometer cable that I need to install here soon. I would not hesitate to drive this car anywhere. I wired up a 3 Outlet power supply to charge my cell phone and run a blue tooth speaker. I've attached over 100 pictures and have described the car as it sits. Nothing to be hidden.
I'm located in Centerton, Arkansas and the car is in my garage. Feel free to ask any questions!I can also help with shipping if needed as I do Hotshots on the side. I would normally run this as an auction but want to get all the guess work and questions out of the way. My BUY NOW is set at $15,000.00 which I think is good!
I will also be listing my 1959 Single Cab in a couple weeks...
