1971 Volkswagen Super Beetle Base 1.6L
Description
Vehicle in good driving condition, 1600 dual port rebuilt engine has less than 25 miles on it at time of this writing. Still waiting for quality turn signal switch when pictures taken. In the last year the list below are parts replaced and labor operations performed. Work performed by 45 year veteran Volkswagen repairman.
Engine block alignbored and thrust cut, crankshaft machined, valve seat grind and guides installed, flywheel resurfaced, new clutch, crank main and rod bearing, camshaft, lifters, cam bearings, piston and cylinders, valves, guides, oil pump, push rod tubes, valve adjust screws, muffler and tailpipes, engine compartment seal, carburetor Solex PICT 3 rebuild, fuel pump, crank pulley, intake boots, ignition points, condenser, distributor cap, roto, plug wires, plugs, fresh air hoses, defrost vent hoses, heater and rear floor heat cables.
Metal plate welded in above transmission and engine firewall, new firewall panels, floorpan stripped, treated and repainted inside undercoated underneath. Pan under battery repaired. Sound proof material laid on inside floorpan, new carpet, new seat cushions and covers. Bumpers sandblasted, primed and color match painted. Repaint is 4 years old but in good condition. Some imperfections in paint but no metal perforations. Interior rear view mirror, sunvisors, steering wheel. Fresh air fan and ducts are functional. Rear tires are new, fronts in good condition. All window, door, front and rear deck lid seals are new. Fender beading new. Radio antenna and speaker.
Front brake shoes, wheel cylinders, rear brake shoes, wheel cylinders, drums, hoses, brake master cylinde, hoses and switches. Steering center tie rod, idler arm bushing kit
First engine service will be performed after break in period before vehicle is sold.
