Description

I'm listing my VW with no reserve because it's a clean original car with nothing to hide.
I purchase this from California and pulled it back to Canada behind my Motorhome. I paid the import taxes to get it into Canada and parked it in my garage. She's been sitting ever since. The car has only 44000 miles, a solid all original car. I have clear California tittle and I can assist with shipping at buyers expense. I am located in Calgary Alberta Canada just 3 hours North of the Montana US border. As it was a clear tittle US car from California, it is very easy to ship it back to the US for import or come pick it up, pull it or drive it home. I can also assist with shipping to Europe at buyers expense.
This is a one family car. I bought it from the nephew of the otiginal owner but the tittle is still in the original owners name. The car has original paint and no rust. No seam rust, the discoloured spots in the trunk is just dirty, not rust. All original and ready to go. Runs and drives great. The engine was rebuilt to 1776 CC with duel Solex carbs. I was told the transmittion was replaced with one that has taller gears with a T-grip and push button reverse instead the old push down reverse. The clutch was replaced, cv joints look new, the tires and rims look new, the seats and top look new. all this major work was done by the original owner years back and the car was only used rarely and just sat in a garage at the owners house in California. The curtains are original, the frames are solid but the plastics are faded and cracked. Replacement plastics are easy to get. I was told the gas heater works, it's clean and complete but I don't know how to use it. The wiper motor looks new and the widow frame and roof folds down with no problems. The pans are solid with no real rust to talk about. The drivers side front end took a bump years ago (nothing major) and was professionally repaired. This is the only part of the car that doesn't have the original paint. Something heavy was dropped in the front trunk and the tin has slightly separated (see pictures). Nothing major and an easy repair. All lights work and the car drives along great. The car has been sitting for quite a long time so I've changed the oil, replaced the plugs and the distributer cap. This car runs and drives great. How many factory original paint, rust free VW Things are left out there that aren't falling apart?
You would be the second registered owner as I have not had time to even register it yet. Your welcome to fly in, inspect it and drive it home, or tow it behind your vehicle. I have the factory tow bar I can throw in only if you come pick it up. It's great for a comuter car and being towed behind your Motorhome. You don't even know it's behind you because it's under 2000 pounds.
Feel free to ask any questions, I can forward more pictures if you send me your email. The car is being sold as is and I reserve the right to end auction early as its for sale locally or for a reasonable offer. I don't like PayPal so I don't use it. You can bank transfer to my account, email transfer or come by with cash. I can help on my end with the shipping, I have done this a few times before. My feedback is great because I give an honest description and do what I say I'll do. I'm retired so I have the time.
Ive tried to be as honest as possible about the condition of the the car. It's an honest clean car you can leave as is or repaint it to have it perfect.
