1956 Volkswagon Bug Custom Dune Buggy Manx Style

Volkswagon custom Manx style dune buggy. Titled as a 1956. Has a 1600 dp motor, not sure what year the motor is. Blinkers, headlights, and horn all work. Brakes have a separate switch for them to come on, it needs to have a switch put directly on the brake pedal. Speedometer needs some work, as you can see it reads 15 mph when it's parked, and it reads slow when driving. May just be a sticky cable, not sure. Has wheel adapters. I did not build this vehicle, so all I can tell you is what I see. It starts, runs, and drives ok, street legal, I've driven it to work a few times. It is hard to start if you shut it off and try to start it back up within just a few minutes (floods). Probably could use a tune up. Does drip some oil. We live on gravel roads, so it is a bit dusty, but would clean right up. It is stored in the garage when not being driven. Would recommend it be trailered if you are coming to get it.Does drive, and we still take it out on occassion, but it is an older car so until you are familiar with it and go thru it, trailering would be best. Vehicle is being sold as is, where is, with no warranties implied or included. Buyer will be responsible for arranging transport/shipping. You are welcome to come inspect the vehicle before bidding, just get with me to arrange a day/time. Once the vehicle leaves our driveway, we are no longer liable for the vehicle including but not limited to damages, wear/tear, maintenance, breakdowns, etc.
Clear title will be available upon payment in full. Will require a $250 non-refundable deposit thru paypal within 24 hours of auction close, and the remaining balance paid in cash upon pickup. Buyer will be responsible for all pickup and shipping arrangements/costs. Please plan on picking up and paying within 7 business days of auction close. If it is not picked up and paid for within 7 days and no other arrangements have been made, it will be re-listed.
