If you've waited for your dream Type-1 Beetle and love the California look while maintaining the desire for concourse cleanliness and up-keep... wait no longer.
This 1963 Volkswagen Beetle was built in March of '63 and sold in Newport Beach, California at Chick Iverson. The vehicle is believed to be a lifer in California until I shipped it to North Carolina in 2014. It had a full restoration in 2013 while in San Francisco, CA. The vehicle placed 2nd in the Type-1 Category at the VW Vegas Bugorama 72 in the Fall of 2013. I purchased the vehicle in the fall of 2014 from a short-term owner at which time it had 63,676 miles on the ODO. The vehicle was then expertly modified at Old Speed in Los Angeles and shippedvia enclosed trailer to Charlotte, NC where it currently resides. It is kept garaged 100% of the time beneath a super-soft indoor custom-fit cover and has not seen rain since I purchased it. I have taken exceptional care of this vehicle and it has been maintained most recently by Monkey Nut in Charlotte, NC. Vehicle has been driven just over 500 miles since purchase in 2014.
Thevehicle has a slow oil drip which is fairly standard and there is also a scratch on the under-side of the nose which is only visible when laying on the ground. The radio was in and out when it arrived in Charlotte and is not currently working. Otherwise there are zero apologies for this baby as it's absolutely beautiful and is aninstant conversation piece everywhere it goes.
*I will only sell this vehicle under agreement that I get first right of buy-back refusal should the winning owner sell it later. No trades. Must have bankcleaning money order for purchase and $1,000 deposit within 3 days of purchase with balance paid within 10 days.
