1982 Volkswagon Bus/ Vanagon Ivory
Description
This van needs a new engine. I have had it for about two years now, and I am remiss to sell it despite the current necessity. I bought it from a couple who used it to vacation for fourteen years. Prior to that, a widower had kept it in her garage, so it is still in solid shape overall. Some parts have been replaced, such as spark plugs and hoses, and some parts are original. It has brand new tires. I removed the fridge a year ago and scrapped it. I installed solar panels on the roof, but the engine blew a head gasket before I invested in the rest of the equipment for solar energy. I attached the panels directly to the roof and sealed the drill holes with mariner caulk. I can remove the panels and take five hundred dollars off the cost of the van, or you can buy the van as is. The interior of the van is clean, and while there are a few slights that can be expected on a van of more than thirty years, it is in livable conditions. The exterior has quite a few scratches, is missing a side-view mirror, and has one small dent, but nothing major is wrong with this van aside from it needing a new engine. The pop- top works great.
