AS SEEN ON AN EPISODE OF "COUNTING CARS"
Rare Bremen "Citation" fiberglass buggy body on a Volkswagen pan. These bodies were made in Indiana in the late 1960's and early 1970's. This one is titled as a 1972 "Specially Constructed" and has a clear Iowa title.
This car has been sitting for about two years. It will need some work before it is road worthy. We installed a new battery and fresh gas and it fired right up. It starts, runs, shifts and stops. The engine is a stock looking "Single Port". I am guessing that it is a 1600cc. It runs but needs a tune up as it does not have much power. It also smokes some.
The brakes also need attention as the master cylinder leaks. The car will have to be trailered away.
The fiberglass body has never been painted. It's original orange / gold metalflake gelcoat is in very good condition and still shines. This buggy also comes with a very rare matching removable hardtop. The seats were recently reupholstered in gold metalflake in a button tufted diamond pattern and look amazing. It also has a new MOON metalflake gold steering wheel that matches.
The chrome "El Tigre" chrome wheels are in very good condition as well as the original 1970's dual whitewall bias ply tires.
It also has a rare "EELCO" polished aluminum pop-top gas cap and new KYB shocks.
