Volvo 850 Turbo
Description
This car belonged to my late father-in-law and was used sporadically. I don't know much about the history of the car but I can tell you things that I noticed when i drove the car about 25 miles.
The car starts up quickly and moves briskly down the road. The turbo boost is felt around 3,000 rpm and really propels the car. I was quite impressed that the car moved so quickly. The steering is light and responsive and it was pretty effortless to corner the car. The "coolant low" lamp is on. I check the coolant level and appeared to be fine. The car does not overheat so assumed that a sensor is bad. The car shimmies above 60 mph which may require tires, balancing, bushings or ball joints.
The body of the car has some noticeable flaws with various dents and scratches; See the pictures for more detail. The interior of the car has some concerns too. The first noticeable concern is the passenger front seat which is twisted at the top. I haven't sat on the front passenger seat to determine the extent of the damage. I also notice that the blower motor heat does not come on. The headliner is sagging in the rear.
For a mid 90's car, I think it's great. It's not a perfect car by any means but it does require some work. The NYS inspection expires in June. Send me an email with your name and phone number if interested.
