This 1964 Volvo 1800s comes from the Portland Oregon area with a long ownership history. While it's not in showroom shape it's definitely worth looking at as these 1800's are hard to find without a lot of rust. Please call me with any questions. 425-736-3888
This car runs and drives as it should, clutch is functional and all 4 gears shift thru fine along with reverse. Overdrive is currently not functional but I'm troubleshooting it now. Oil pressure gauge is right at 50psi (see video) and it doesn't hesitate to start, the engine still pulls strong. The speedometer works along with the gas gauge but the clock and tachometer are not. The Smith Water temp gauge does rise upon the engine being warm.
The body on this 1800 looks to have an older correct color code paint job with some repairs done to it over the years. There is bubbling on the lower rocker panels and in the lower wheel wells, see photos for details. The undercarriage is pretty good with only one short cross member having rust. The floors overall are solid, from below it does look to have few small areas that need attention, looks to have a small hole near the drivers side front area. The body does not have any damage like dents or dings, very straight.
The interior has been modified with a rear early P1800 Jensen back seat and deck, the front is still the stock 1800s door panels and seats. The front seats were recovered at sometime but still are decently comfortable. The top dashboard does a have previously fixed crack to the right of the tachometer, there are not any other current cracks or issues with the dashboard, pretty amazing.
The cars electrics work well. Lights, blinkers, brakes and interior lights work along with the horn. Please see video.
Overall this is a great candidate for a full restoration or as an original driver with some work being done.
