Description

1964 Volvo 1800S that has been stored for many years. Originally a Northern California car from new. Was in California from 1964-2008. Stored unused in Lubbock Texas, indoors, from 2008 until 2015. In Connecticut now in storage from 2015 until now. Stored inside in my warehouse. Registered in Connecticut but not used. Did have new battery, new tires (5 New Michelins) and a new black leather interior installed as shown in the photos. Carpets are the original style square weave material that were with the car. Inside now is very nice, outside is an older repaint that now shows fading and cracks. Not ugly but does have the patina of a survivor car not a restored look.
I had some mechanical work done this summer, like the battery, tires etc. Carbs still need to be retuned from storage. Car does run and drive although it should be trailered until your mechanic can make sure nothing is weak from storage. Sad to say but the car has traveled less than 500 miles since purchase in 2008.Engine starts and runs but needs tuning from storage. No nasty engine noises or smoke. Has the 4 speed manual transmission with electric overdrive that works properly.
The best part of the car is that unlike most others it is a rock solid unmolested original car, not patched or welded like most of the ones you see. The area by the battery needs to be replaced, the battery acid ate it away when a battery leaked in storage. New battery boxes are available for about $100.
I'll be glad to send any additional photos or answer your questions, please do it before you bid if you have questions. If you need to collect your money, ask your wife or consult your friends, please do it before you bid. I would like to see this Volvo go to a good home, I don't have room for it. Clear ownership papers here in Connecticut. Connecticut transferable registration, transfer document and the original California title all go to the new owner. Sold as-is. $500 deposit within 48 hours of the auction end. Payment in full within 7 days of the end of the auction.. This is a nice solid car with no hidden painted over sins. If you want to you are welcome to come check it out yourself. Please call Dave 203-648-6818 Thanks to everyone and good luck
