Up for sale is an original 1964 Volvo P1800S. I've owned this car for several years. It was originally a barn find that needed a new fuel tank (replaced at a certified Volvo repair shop) and now runs and drives very smoothly for a 50 year old car that has not been restored. Has been a Texas car its whole life - NO cancer, very minimal surface rust. I took pictures of the car on a lift to show how clean the undercarriage is.This car would make a great restoration candidate. Engine: When cold can take a couple of tries to start up. Once warmed up runs great. The carburetors look to have been rebuilt at some point. Transmission: I can not emphasize how smooth this transmission shifts. Clutch and tranny feel great. The electric overdrive is currently not working Electrics: Headlights work, turn signals, wipers, and taillights are currently inop. Interior gauges will need to be sorted. Some workintermittentlybut are not accurate. Interior: Faded and frayed/ripped in certain areas. Foam still is solid. Carpet might be salvageable if thoroughly shampooed and cleaned. Top dash pad cracked. All complete, Exterior: Paint is faded, cracking, and shows wear from a 50 year car that has seen a lot of Texas sun. NO cancer. Driver side front trim piece will need to be refitted back on, it is included. Chrome on the coveted cow horn bumpers is in good shape. Misc:Clean Texas title in my name. Original Owners and Service manual included in original booklet. Spare tire also included. Buyer responsible for arranging shipping of vehicle. Will ship anywhere as long as buyer arranges the transaction. Please feel free to ask any questions, I have more pictures available upon request. No reserve. |
