Exquisite 1967 Volvo P1800 - 1800S Sports Car with Overdrive
Description
1967 Volvo P1800S
Made in Sweden
Up for bids, recently out of my collection is an exquisite 1967 Volvo P1800S. Very similar to that driven by Simon Templar, The Saint, as played by Roger Moore.
The vehicle is in above average driver condition. Runs and drives very well. Lots of care was taken to make this car as good as it looks and drives. It has around 47,000 miles, believed to be original but unconfirmed (52 years old). The car spent the majority of its life in Northern California. Comes with clean title. International shipping welcomed.
I bought this car from the local Volvo dealership, it was a used as a display car in their showroom.
The body is in excellent condition, no signs of rust. Doesn't appear to have ever been in any major collision. The paint is an original Volvo factory colour. Very shiny paint with no major nicks. Normal wear and tear. Chrome and bright-work all original and in presentable condition.
The engine is a 1.8 litre 4 cylinder OHV producing 115 bhp. Quite good for the time, the car could reach 120 mph. Fed by twin SU Carburetters it makes a lively noise. Good compression on all cylinders and excellent oil pressure. Very robust and reliable this model of car holds the record for the most miles ever driven by one vehicle! This one is believed to have only 47,000 original miles.
Transmission is a four speed full synchromesh manual gearbox with overdrive. Overdrive operated on the right stalk by the steering wheel.
The interiour is in very good condition with Swedish made Leather seats. Good carpets, original mint headliner. Upper dash pad made by original equipment is brand new. Steering wheel is the original Bakelite and has some cracks and patina.
Brakes are disc at the front and drums at the rear. All in working order.
These classic Volvo P1800s are on the list of the most appreciating classics, so now is your chance.
