2014 Rebuild: engine: new rings, rod & main bearings, connecting rod wrist pin bushings, seals, gaskets, valve guides, valves & seals, belts, water pump.Transmission rear bushing.Body: new shocks f&r, brake rotors, calipers, pads, steering u joint, steering lock, control are bushings, ball joints, tie rod endsThe car was painted with Eastwood Urethane, British Racing Green with a satin finish.
2016: new IPD sport springs (which lowered the car) and heavy-duty sway bars front & rear. A remanufactured steering rack. Tach, voltage gauge, temp gauge, drivers sport seat
2018, Nov/Dec: The car was sitting for 6 months so to get it up to speed to sell we replaced:new front rotors, new brake pads, new exhaust system back from the converted, new tires in front, good tires in rear, new rear shocks, new neutral/safety switch, new ignition switch, right ball joint, right rear lower control arm bushing.New Mass inspection sticker - 12/2019
This is our 4th Volvo 240 and we’re moving on. The car comes with many used but good parts, see photos.
Cons: the body had some rough spots which were patched up, the auto door locks have been disconnected due to a short (parasitic draw) in one of the doors, the antenna has been off since we got the car, the overdrive solenoid has been removed with a bypass plate installed.All the brake backing/dust plate are rotted and never replaced. Some scratches in the paint.
This car is 27 years old. Although many of the parts have been replaced, and the car maintained it is still a 27 year old car.
