Description

GARAGE STORED SINCE LATE SUMMER 1978. ONE FAMILY OWNED. 80357 MILES.
THE STORY:
One of my closest friends' mother bought this car brand new in Stamford, Ct in 1966.
In 1978, when he was 17 years old, having recently received his driver's license, my buddy decided to go on an adventure and asked his mom to "borrow the car". When she found out that his desire was to go for a drive around the country, she acquiesced, but not before having my buddy register it in his name "in case he killed somebody" (his mom, back in the 70's, probably didn't have much of a sense of humor)
After registering the car, my friend and a friend of his took off on a two month adventure, criss crossing the Country and having a 17 year old blast. When they returned, he parked the volvo in the garage of his moms building and went on to buy, work on, and sell quite a few old cars, becoming an avid collector himself and now owning over 30 classic vehicles.
40 years later, after his mom passed a few years back, my buddy is selling the building and is tasked with the job of cleaning out the garage loaded with 40 years worth of stuff.
He contacted me and asked if I could list it for him as I am a dealer and have an Ebay presence. He agreed on a starting price of $500 with no reserve
THE CAR:
1967 Volvo 122 "S"4 Door4 SpeedLast registered and inspected in 1978.Stored in a garage with a dry floor (underside of the car looks clean and solid with factory undercoating).Has not run since late summer of 1978.Engine is not stuck. The car has some minor rust issues but all are pictured and repairable. The interior is very nice with one small tear on the side of the driver's seat.We have not attempted to get the car running as I feel that the potential new owner would want to do that his own way.

and I will do my best to answer them.

I will assist with shipping but you have to pay for it. If you need help arranging shipping, just ask.

If you win, please pay. Simple rules to follow. Thanks for checking out the ad.

We do generally do not accept Pay Pal but might upon request. Payment will be required within 3 days of auction end unless other arrangements have been made. Payment will be in cash or wire transfer into our bank account.

PLEASE, these auctions cost time and money. If you are not 100% sure that you want the car, please don't bid on it. I have been burned by people in the past that give stupid excuses like their kid hit the button. Please be respectful and don't allow that to happen.

Look at my feedback and see that I am an honorable guy, I hope that you are as well.
