1951 Used Automatic
Description
STK 2119 1951 Willys Wagon
If you were looking for an SUV in 1951, choices were limited. However, there was one good vehicle that filled the bill. The 1951 Willys Wagon was roomy and very utilitarian. Sporty - not so much. The owner of our Willys Wagon solved that problem. They took a very solid body and sat it on an '80s vintage Chevy 2WD pickup chassis, complete with drivetrain and suspension. It is virtually a perfect fit - the first Blazer. The Flat Olive paint job lacks a little luster, but adds character. The entire front end tilts forward for access to the engine compartment. The interior is shall we say, basic, in fair condition. Bench seating is surprisingly comfortable and the gauges work fine. Windows are tinted to keep you cool - there is no air. Under the hood is a rebuilt 350 Chevy that sounds great. It sports a 4-barrel intake, mild cam and full tube headers (with cut-outs). Horsepower reaches the rear gear through a 350 GM TurboHydramatic that shifts solid. There are GM power brakes and power steering. Off-road 'tracker' style tires are mounted on nice ProComp Extreme 16"rims. The electrics are all 12 volts. This thing is fun - you get the look of a classic Jeep and the dependability and function of a late-model GM pickup. This Willys Wagon will not be here long. ALL VEHICLES SOLD "AS IS".
