Description

1950 Willys 2 Door Jeepster with clear replacement title included. Engine is L-161 Lightning Six 6cyl, which is more rare than the 4cyl - from my research, I believe they only made around 1700 of this particular model - please don't let it go to scrap!
Manual Transmission - 3 speed - Overdrive was optional in these models, not sure if it has it or not
The issuesThe building this was stored in caught on fire, causing the paint, convertible top, and seats to burn/melt. However, after the fire, the tires still held air. They still will now, in order to move, but due to dry-rot and cracks, it doesn't last. There is other damage, as you can see, but as a complete restore project or partscar, this is ideal.Someone stole the hood, doors and top of motor off shortly after the fire. Remaining is the transmission(manual), which still engages, as we moved it, and needed to put it into neutral to do so. Chrome Bumper that has Willys stamped into it is intact, as well as many other parts that are needed for restoration projects, and hard to find.
Pickup with a trailer is necessary, for obvious reasons. This car belonged to my mother, she had owned it since the 1960's, and we were planning to restore it prior to the fire, the only issue it had then was a small rust hole in the fender. We have kept it for a few years, hoping to be able to do something with it, but have come to the conclusion it needs to go toa better home and someone with a plan and time. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask, I'll be glad to do my best to answer them. I am fully aware of what the car is worth if I were to part it out individually but I don't want to go to that extent and am hoping someone will want to fix this one and finalize our dreams for this one.
