Description

Here is for your consideration a 1942 Ford GPW military jeep. This Jeep has been completely rebuilt few years ago. Frame up restoration. This Jeep is not all original, built more as a rider than display piece. It has the correct L134 engine, which is post was production, obtained from a generator. Engine was completely gone through at a professional engine shop. It runs reliably and smooth. Transmission is T91. Front axle has the locking hubs for offroading. Hi-Lo transfer case works fine, 2x4 / 4x4 works as well. Tub is an original WW2, with VIN# 37208 and date of delivery 6/1942. It was repaired. Has some minor rusty spots. Tires and upholstery are in good shape. Jeep fires right up, runs good. Occasionally the second gear pops out during coasting, which is very common with the T91. We attended so many parades and reenactments with this Jeep. It is fun to drive and always conversation starter :o) Upon request, I can provide pictures from the restoration. Jeep has 12V system, high torque starter and alternator. Blinkers were installed for safety. Jeep has some minor oil leaks - as expected for ww2 Jeep. I have a clear title in hand, Jeep is registered as 1942 Ford GPW.
