Description

VERY EARLY CIVILIAN JEEP CJ2A- ONE OF THE FIRST FEW CIVILIAN JEEPS THAT ROLLED OFF THE LINE AFTER THE WAR WAS OVER IN 1945. THESE JEEPS WERE SPECIAL SINCE THEY WERE STILL BUILT ON THE WILLYS MB CHASSIS AND USED THE SAME MB BODY WITH FEW ALTERATIONS SUCH AS THE REAR GATE, GAS REFILL FROM SIDE ETC. THE ENGINES USED WERE THE 4 CYLINDER FLAT HEAD 'GO DEVIL' MOTORS AND FITTED WITH AN IMPROVED T-90 TRANSMISSION. PRIMARILY SOLD TO THE AGRICULTURAL FARMS. THIS EXAMPLE TOO COMES FROM AN ARIZONA FARM WHERE IT WAS ORIGINALLY PURCHASED AND HENCE IS A VERY RUST FREE ORIGINAL THAT HAS BEEN RESTORED AS A DRIVER WITH SLIGHT LIFT, SOME CHROME, AFTER MARKET WHEELS. VERY RELIABLE OFF ROAD VEHICLE THAT WILL TAKE YOU IN THE MOST UNCHARTEDTERRITORIES AND EXPEDITIONS.
