1950 Willys Jeep Truck Pickup
Description
Selling my 1950 Willys Pickup.I purchased it in Mississippi and brought it home to PA.Because its from the south, rust is minimal and patina is great.Has heavy bumpers and winch because it served as a parks service truck somewhere in the Ozarks from what I know. The truck sat for many years before i got it. Someone swapped out the original L134 and put in an AMC 258. They cut firewall and part of fan shroud to do so. The 258 was locked up from sitting. I put in a 60k mile running 258 from a 75 CJ back into it, with all new gaskets, Weber carb, new clutch, etc. I installed a complete new Brake system, shoes, wheel cyls, hoses, lines, master cyl. Has a new aluminum fuel tank. The truck runs good, stops good, and drives as good as a expected for a 70 year old truck. Has the Timken rear with 5.38 gears. Top speed is about 45mph . It needs a pinion bearing, still driveable, but makes a pretty good howling noise. My plan was to swap out for a higher geared Dana 53 from a later truck or wagon. 4wd works but needs linkage for lever in cab tinkered with. It has the T14 and dana 20 from the 75 cj currently in it. I do have the original trans/t case, as well as a complete carb to pan L134 to go with truck if wanted. This truck has a clean title in my name, and its street driveable as it is. I would hate to see it restored, because of the look and the patina. In my opinion it needs s driver that can enjoy it snd give it some TLC along the way.Located in PA 18704Pickup only, can possibly work out some delivery options if arrangements are made in advance.I don’t really want to sel, because these trucks in solid condition are scarce, but i have other projects i want to get done first, and this truck has been sitting since June, and i dont see an opportunity to do anything to it or with it anytime soon.
