WILLYS JEEP

For sale is my 1960's model Willys Jeep. I took this Jeep in trade for a Harley Davidson Bobber that I had built. It is titled as a 1968, but was explained to me that it is a 1961 according to the VIN numbers. I had to do extensive research on this but have found a website that explains the CJ-5 Willys Jeep Serial numbers and it does come back as a 1961 Willys CJ5. The title does match the numbers on the Willys. I have no idea how many times this vehicle has been bought and sold since 1961 and where the mismatch on the title occurred. I had no trouble insuring it as it is titled.
It has the 4 cylinder flat head with a 3-speed transmission. Then transmission will not let you go from 2nd back to 1st while it's moving. As all of the Willys I have been in, the top speed is about 60 mph and it will let you know it. Running 45 - 50 is the sweet spot. I have tuned it, changed the oil, and have put new brakes and shocks on it. I have also put brand new mudder tires as well as added a winch to the front. I have remade the seat pans and seats and made and installed a diamond tread plate tool box and trim.
This is a super cool Willys that is a head turner when it goes down the road.
