1982 Alfa Spider with Hardtop

1982 Alfa Spider with factory crème paint, dark blue interior and recently replaced black Hartz cloth top and rare factory hardtop. Blue cloth interior is in excellent condition. Car is registered in Florida but has always lived in Southern California and was used as a daily driver (I have an office in both states). Car has new shocks all the way around along with new brake pads and steel brake lines. Tires are fresh H-rated Kuhmo 165/70/14 tires. Front suspension bushings and ball joints were replaced as needed. All of the rear suspension bushings and rubber are new.

There are 124,895 miles on the car with a clean Car Fax. The original speedo has 122,939 miles on it and I replaced it with a nicer speedo that showed 79,136 miles at purchase and now reads 81,092. I have the original speedo.

Motor runs smoothly and has Anza exhaust. The 5-speed transmission shifts perfectly in all gears including 2nd gear. Car is fitted with a custom Momo Prototipo wheel with Alfa horn button. The original front bumper was removed and backdated to early stainless bumper and grill. The rear bumper was removed and alloy block off plates cover the holes. Rear Kamm panel was blacked out with Italian license plate and mount fitted. Early style plexiglas headlight covers cover the headlights. The side mirrors are backdated to Alfa “early style” round mirrors. Wheels are 5 spoke factory Campagnolo magnesium alloys in great condition.

The Spider body is in fantastic condition with recent re-spray of original color. All panel gaps are excellent and this Spider presents extremely well. The glass is original and Alfa stamped. This is a California car for it’s entire life, driven regularly, and rust free. Unlike many of these Spiders that were neglected, unused, or abused, this car has been cherished and driven on regular basis in southern California since new. Door and trunk weather stripping replaced recently. As a result of this, everything on this Alfa works and functions as intended. This Alfa is ready to be driven and enjoyed now without the usual sorting process.

This car participated flawlessly in two Targa California and one Targa Baja events. These spirited driving events last 3-4 days and cover 1200 real miles with unparalleled Alfa road handling.
