1980 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce

For sale is a running 1980 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce with 51,250 original miles. It has the original silver metallic paint and burgundy interior. I am the 3rd registered owner of this car. When I bought the car it was not running. I replaced the fuel injector and intake manifold with a 4-port throttle as was standard on a 1979 spider. This increased the horsepower by 10hp. I have the original parts that were removed for this conversion which will come with the car. The motor, transmission and even wheels are also original to this car.

This car runs, drives and stops. It is a great driver and loads of fun on winding roads. I have purchased many parts to replace those you would expect on a 38-year-old car.All of those will also come with the car.

Some work that has been done to the spider:

Replaced the fuel injector, intake manifold and air intake to 1979 style. Cleaned gas tank (receipts included in sale)

Replaced tires with 4 new Pirelli tires.

Installed new catalytic converter, muffler and correct exhaust.

Replaced cheap cd player with period correct Blaupunkt in dash cassette player with AM/FM stereo.

Installed new horns (it has two)

Replaced all light bulbs and fuses.

Replaced spark plugs with correct Lodge plugs.

Some work that needs to be done:

Install new convertible top (included)

Reconnect emergency brake (it looks like a new cable system was installed but not connected)

Replace wheel well for spare, lower cowl on front and driver side pan. All these replacement parts are included. These are not critical but have rust.

I would replace the seat belts as the retractors are old.

Trunk lid will need repainted.

I have many parts that I purchased new such as sun visors, rubber door trim, window trim, convertible trim parts. I also have a manual that outlines how to install the convertible top, a shop manual and books about Alfa Romeo Spiders.

I am selling the spider as I find that I don’t have the time to take her to the next level.
