Description

This car has spent the majority of it's life in Texas, and the body is very clean. The body panels seem to be all original and rust free. The under body also shows no rust holes, collision damage, or previous patches. The paint is very nice, as is the interior upholstery and carpets.
The engine starts easily and runs well. It has the more modern OHV engine which AMC installed standard in the 400 series 1962 Ramblers, not the older-design flat head engine put in lower models.
The transmission shifts correctly.
The radio, lights, fan, power top, speedometer, and horn work.
The car has new trunnion bushings, tires, shocks, exhaust, convertible top, windshield, fuel pump, and rebuilt carb.
The chrome is excellent.
It needs the driver door lock cylinder and fuel gauge installed- they are new and included in the sale.
The vacuum powered windshield wipers do not operate properly, and the steering has a lot of play in it. I have been told that the idler arm bushing may be worn but I'm not sure. Also, the brakes work but I have been told they need to be bled.
Overall, this is a very attractive and solid car that needs a little tinkering to make it every-day reliable. The expensive work has been done already.
The vehicle is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction early.

The odometer reads about 52,500 miles or so, and the odometer works. The car may possibly have only 52k miles based on it's condition, however, the title is marked as not actual miles.
