Description

The driver of this clean red convertible receives more than his or her fair share of friendly waves and lots of thumbs up. Everyone seems to love this car.
The body and frame are in excellent original condition. It is from dry, sunny Texas.I have looked it over (even when on a lift), and have found no rust holes or metal patching anywhere on the body or floor pans. The frame, trunk, and wheel wells are in similar great condition. The paint is glossy throughout, with a few very minor chips, scratches and dings. It has an electric/hydraulic power operated top.
The car runs and drives very well. The trunnion bushings, tires, brakes, shocks, windshield, convertible top, fuel pump, carburetor, and exhaust system have recently been replaced or rebuilt. It starts easily, idles quietly, and runs smoothly. The transmission shifts properly. It has excellent chrome, glass, upholstery, top frame and fabric, and carpets. The radio works, the lights work, the brakes work, the horn works, the power top works but is a little slow.
List of problems: This may sound a little nit-picky, because the car looks and runs great, but I want to be completely forthcoming regarding what I know of the vehicle, so here goes: Drivers door lock cylinder is missing but I have a NOS cylinder that I will include, the heater blows air but does not produce heat, the fuel gauge is inop but I have a NOS instrument fuel gauge included in sale. The steering feels a bit vague when driving but it tracks straight down the road, and the neutral start switch needs adjustment (driver must push slightly on the shift lever in order to crank the engine with the key). The wiper motor is vacuum operated and has not been hooked up after the fuel pump was replaced, so the wipers do not currently work. I do have the correct fuel cap (not shown).
Bidders with less than 10 feedback must contact me prior to bidding or I reserve the option of cancelling their bid.
I am very confident in this car, and encourage buyers to view and drive it in person prior to bidding if possible, or pay for a local inspection.
The odometer reads a little over 52,330 and works, but I do not believe that this number is accurate.
