Description

This is an AMC Marlin with a factory 343 V8. It's got low mileage, only about 60 thousand. It's got a lot of issues, particularly rust in the quarter panels and the front passenger floor. You can see in the photos. The car is all there, chrome and body. The interior is in good condition, you could leave the interior as is and get the body and mechanics working. So no, this car can't drive across the country in it's current state. I've never tried to start the motor. I parked it after the initial purchase and have done no real work to the car.
It's really a stripped down Marlin other than the automatic and 343. It has an AM radio and there's a vintage FM converter attached to the dash. Somebody put some funky side marker lamps on the front fenders too. The Sports Steering Wheel is in very good shape. Door panels and arm rests are very good too. Headline is in good shape. It needs a mechanic and good body man to save this car.
It needs a total restoration, mechanics, drive-train, interior and body. It's low mileage may make this a better candidate for restoration than for parting out. This car spent it's life in the South and was purchased 2 years ago at the Willberg Auction in North Carolina. The total price paid was 522.50 which is the starting bid today. I'll take my losses on the shipping costs to Maine.
I've got to move some cars, I have too many projects. I would like to own a driving Marlin one day, but at my age, I'm running out of time for restoration projects.
This car is in the State of Maine which is a NO TITLE State. Maine like some other USA States doesn't issue title on vehicles this old. It will only come with a Bill of Sale.
