1989 Audi 200 Turbo Quattro Avant Wagon 10V Low Mileage 5 speed Manual
Description
Yes you have another chance to own this great car! This time I am going to change things up some. There will be a $200.00 Non Refundable Deposit required within 24 hours after the auction ends. If final payment and shipping arrangements are not completed within two weeks from auction end you will lose the deposit and the car will be re-listed. I am sorry if this sounds harsh but this is the fourth time I have to re-list the car due to bidders out of state and or out of country not following through. Please if you bid make sure you think about shipping or how you plan on picking it up, as this will be an additional expense for you. With all that being said here is the description:
This is a very rare car, It has extremely low miles for its age. It's currently not running, but it doesn't need much. It’s so much fun to drive, definitely worth the effort needed if you have some free time.It cranks free, but is difficult to start not sure why. Once it starts it runs smooth and idles fine. I would recommend a timing belt change only because it's been sitting for so long. I’m including with the car the timing belt tools from Audi. They make the timing belt change easy. We put about $750 into the brakes, new calipers, new rotors, and new brake lines about 4 years ago. We also changed the power steering rack, pump and lines. Plus changed the brake master cylinder and reservoir. We drove it for about two weeks got it registered and inspected and a hydraulic line went out in the clutch. It took a while but we finally located the line in Europe, bought it, received it, but by that time we just moved on to other projects so it still needs to be installed. The window in the passenger front door has a bad regulator and is taped in place. The paint is in good shape. There are some scratches and chips, but for its age looks pretty nice. The body is strait and clean. The rear wheel wells are slightly pulled out to accommodate a wider rear tire. The wheels are off of a newer Audi. The A/C did work but the compressor went out.Included in the auction are all kinds of parts, including a pair of recaro front seats, Fuchs Wheelset (original), in great condition but will need tires, a BBS Audi wheel as a spare since it has a OEM donut, new k&n air filter, new and pick and pull parts. We even have a machined delrin part for the shifter that hasn't been made for years, just in case it goes out. Plus the Audi 200 / 5000 Bentley manuals and a Haynes manual. As much as I hate to see it go, as it's an end of an era for me, I have owned this car since 2002. I bought it with 103,000 miles. Not sure why the vehicle report has the mileage a little messed up. It was driven until 2004 when I got a new daily driver. I continued to renew the registration until 2006. It sat in a garage until 2010 and then under a quality cover until 2014 when we tried to get it going again, then back under the cover it went with 112,000 miles. We did notice in 2014 the 30 miles we put on it were in recorded due to the odometer not working. It could be a simple fix?The title issue / lien showed in the vehicle report was from a motorcycle I bought many years ago. The loan was paid in full, but they had lost the title.I recently submitted the paperwork / lien release to the DMV and have a clear title in hand.I would like it to be restored and running. If you buy it now I will include more great parts and manuals for an Audi 5000CSTQ!If you need any more photos or info I will be happy to help! Also I have the Quattro badge in with the parts :)
