1966 Austin Healey 3000 MKIII - NO RESERVE - Authentic Survivor, Great Driver
Description
THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION.
This classic 1966 Austin Healey 3000 MKIII is a true survivor car. The past owner bought the car in the early 1970s and owned it until he passed away a few months ago. I am selling it for the family of the owner.
The car was resprayed and the engine rebuilt about 10 years ago. It runs and drives well, the paint looks very good with minimal scratches. It has been sitting for 2-3 years, but has been decommissioned in the last few months. That being said, I have drained all the old fluid (oil, antifreeze, gas, etc) and put in new fluid.
I have also installed a Pertronix Electronic Distributor, Pertronix 40,000v Flamethrower coil, Cobalt plug wires as well as new spark plugs and a new thermostat. I also put in a new clutch, clutch master, slave and plate. I sent the SU HS6 carbs to Joe Curto and just got them back last week, new and ready for use. It has a stainless steel exhaust that sounds amazing!
The brakes and tires look good, it's wearing Pirelli P6000 205/60R15s, Which have a lot of tread left and should last a while. All the gauges work and read well except for the speedo, that's currently inoperable.
The top and interior are original and slightly worn, but in fairly good shape considering their age. The paint has held up well, these cars look fantastic in the two tone Healey blue and white.
This is a truly great drivers car and it presents itself well. This is a no reserve auction, so there's no secret vail I'm hiding behind. Whatever the final price is is what the car sells for.
Feel free to message me with any questions or concerns, message me for my phone number if you want to talk in person.
This car is being sold with a transferrable New York State Registration. New York State is not a title state for cars built prior to 1975. I reserve the right to end this auction at any time and sell the car locally. Thanks for your time.
