Description

1990 Bmw E30 325i Convertible. Power windows, AC, BBS Wheels, White exterior with Blue Leather Interior. Very Original. Runs Great.
I bought this car “Blanca” (I name all my cars) for my wife, back in March of 2004. At that time, it had 141,182 miles on it. We used it off and on, as our weekend “sunny day” car . We then bought another cari n 2010 to fit that description and this car has only been driven maybe a dozen times since then. We have decided that it is time to let someone else enjoy this car and drive it. Blanca needs to be appreciated and it’s clear that we don’t have the time to take her out to “stretch her legs”, like she deserves. By the way, timing belt was changed 38K miles ago.
THE GOOD:
Other than one crease/dent on the passenger side, the body is near mint condition.
Original paint is very good. Not perfect but no peeling and still has good shine. Even has hand-painted pinstriping.
Car is very original and “unmolested.”
Car runs, drives and sounds very good.
Car has new catatytic converter and passed smog easily last time around.
Tires still have good tread, maybe 70%.
California car from new. (Absolutely no rust!)
THE NOT-SO-GOOD:
The tach stopped working recently.
The AC no longer blows cold. We had it recharged about 8 years ago and it worked for at least 3 years behind that. Sounds like a slow leak.
Could use a new top. There are a couple small tears (1”-2”) and the back window is getting hard to see out of.We keep it in the garage full-time and never drove in bad weather, so it's been fine for us. (Besides we almost always drove with the top down!) :)
Leather in front seats is mostly solid with one 3/4” tear on driver’s seat bolster. However the rear seat bottom has large tear at the seam, as does the top of each back seat. (See pictures.)
There is an occasional rattle in the truck area that I suspect is rear shock bushings. Obviously not an expensive repair> just thought I would mention it, for full disclosure.
It leaves on spot of oil, about the size of a nickel after parked.
Here are two videos of the car...
