Knowing my love for the BMW e24 series, a “friend” alerted me to a barn find that had been sitting for 8 or 9 years. He knew that I would at least keep it from the crusher, the car was straight, but needed some love to wake up, so I accepted the challenge.
It is a 1982 633CSi, VIN# WBAEB4608C7510152. She has the solid M30 inline-six engine and bulletproof ZF 3HP22 Automatic Transmission.
This rust-free Memphis car wears Lapis Blue paint that is in decent condition and would benefit greatly from a wash and wax. The Pacific Blue interior shows well though seats need some love. Dash is crack-free. The car has a nearly complete tool kit.
Car comes with dealer records through 1998, including original service manual with certified stamps for all major service intervals through 120,000 miles. The odometer currently shows just over 127,000 miles.
Recent restoration work was performed by Alpine Autoworks. Replaced gas tank and fuel lines. Rebuilt brake calipers and master cylinder. New brake pads. Replaced ECU. Oil change. Radiator flush. New belts and hoses. Car now wears brand new tires on original alloy wheels. All 4 power windows are operable. Air conditioning status is unknown. All lights and windshield wipers are in working order. Engine starts easily and runs smooth and quietly.
