Description

Offered for sale is an amazing example of the BMW3.0 CS. Built on the same E9 platform as the legendary 3.0CSL this variant was produced between 1972 and 1975 and was a very important car in establishing BMW as a real player in the automotive world. With sleek lines and an airy open greenhouse, the E9 is truly one of the best looking BMWs built to-date. The buttery-smooth inline-six only further complements the car. To put it simply, the E9 is the epitome of cool. This car is the precursor to the 6 series which would follow two years later. There were 438 automatic US versions produced along with 375 manual versions in 1974.

This car has an automatic transmission, 6 cylinder engine (2986 CC) 180 Horsepower 2X2 bbl, leather seats, sunroof, power steering, power brakes, power windows, air conditioning, alloy wheels, newMichelin tires with about 75 miles on them, trunk lid tool box, factory VDO gauges (odometer reads 14,440 but doesn't appear to be functioning properly), complete brake job recently completed, body is extremely straight and only one small area of bubbling under the paint at bottom of driver front fender, paint looks great overall, interior looks verygood with no cracks in dash (headliner looks great, door panels look good with exception of the wood on the driver and passenger doors showing small signs of wear, back deck lid looks great, trunk looks excellent) glass throughout car is very good, weather stripping throughout car is good, car starts and drives very well, the most recent invoice shows the previous owner spent $8,000 getting the car up to speed so it can be driven and enjoyed and be reliable, alpine stereo with JL Audio speakers (not currently functioning), with exception of left blinker, all lights-turn signals-horn-gauges work as they should,AC works well, all chrome/stainless look great, pre purchase inspections are welcome.

Easy transport to buyers home town available for $500-800 depending on distance so just ask if interested. There are multiple links below to recent videos of the car (filmed 12/16/19). This BMW is elegant, classic and a real head turner.
