Description

1958 Buick Special, 4 door sedan. I have owned this car for 22 yrs. Mileage when I purchased it was 61k, now has just under 69k, I am the 3 owne, as far as I know. Has the original 364c.i. nail head engine with automatic transmission.

About 6/7 yrs ago I had the car painted. All chrome was removed, rust repairs done, primed and painted. Good solid car. I have replaced the carpet, bottom of door panels and arm rests. About a yr ago I had headliner and windlass replaced. When it was being repainted the rubber door seals were remove and body shop could not locate replacements. I have since found the door seals for the front and have those.

Car comes with fender skirts which are not on the car at present. The rubber needed replacing on these and I have one replacement, I thought I was buying a pair but only have the one. These are available fromSteele Products. New white wall tires all the way around. When installing the new tires the tire guy busted the medallion in one of the hubcaps, but these are also available on ebay. The pics show the wide white walls, but these were portawalls and have been replaced with new 1 inch white wall tires.Trunk has new liner and was told the bias ply spare is one of the original tire, recapped. Have had a spare tire cover made for it.

Engine bay has been cleaned and touched up, additional cooling fan installed for times it was used in parades. Most miles have been to and from car shows and cruise in's, since I've had it.

The original radio takes time to warm u, as it's the old tube type. The volume will come and g, especially if you adjust the volume or channel selector. I'm told this is due to connectors being corroded and need brushing to remove age and make better connection. It is a push button radio. Clock doesn't work and I've not attempted to correct this.

This is an eye catche, a good solid car that floats down the hyway. Still has drum brakes. Not a show car but a driver. Any questions, please ask.
