Overview Of Entire Vehicle: *3- (Really Nice Driver)

There is a very nice 1966 Cadillac DeVille Convertible that is an excellent driver and cruiser for someone. It has a couple small issues that need repaired and that is the reason why we are selling it for no reserve to the highest bidder. We purchased this car sight unseen about a year ago and when it got to us it was making an upper valvetrain noise and wasn't described as accurately as it should have been. It was described as a mint car when it did actually need some TLC. We have had the car in storage for the past year and we are cleaning around the shop basically and we decided to put the car up for sell at no reserve. It is a great car for someone who is a little mechanically inclined and will be a great deal on a 1966 Cadillac Convertible. The previous owner was an elderly gentleman and owned it for many years and appears to have taken pretty good care of it. Other than a little TLC here and there you can use it or drive it as it sits and not have to worry about the car being too nice to drive. Overall it is a very nice car and a great deal for someone on a 1966 Cadillac Convertible.

Exterior: *Condition #3-

The exterior of this Cadillac looks very good and upon closer inspection it does have a few flaws here and there. Overall the paint and body on it is very nice, shiny and straight with a couple little chips touched up on it here and there. This car was a color change to white and was originally painted Sandalwood from the factory. They did a very good job on the new paint as you hardly see any spots showing that it was in fact a color change. All the chrome and trim on the car is original and it does show its age a little in a few spots. The front bumper ends have a couple little rust holes starting and some of the chrome has some pitting around it but a lot of it is very nice. This is all showed in detail in the video. All the glass is in really nice condition, the body is very straight and the fit and finish is very good. The Ivory power top is in very good condition and fits like a glove with a very clear rear window. It is sitting on its original wheels and hubcaps that looks great with fairly new white wall radial tires. Overall the car has a very nice look to it and the only thing that we would do to take it to the next level would be to redo some of the trim on it.

Interior: *Condition #3

The interior of this Cadillac looks great and is in the factory color of Dark Green and appears to have also been redone recently. The carpets look to have been redone and the door panels look great and appear to be original. The dash is very bright and clean and the steering wheel looks nice but does have a couple little hairline cracks on it. The Dark Green leather seats are very nice and looks great and it does also have a full set of seatbelts for safety. The items that work in the car are the horn, the lights, all the gauges, all the power windows, the power top, and the wipers. The wipers do make some noise but they do work. The items that do not work are the AM radio, clock, power antenna, power locks, courtesy lights, power seat, and the power vent windows. Inside the trunk is very nice and clean with the correct spare but it is missing the top boot. Overall the interior on this Cadillac looks great and just needs a couple mechanical things done to take it to that next level.

Mechanically: *Condition #3-

Mechanically this Cadillac runs and drives great. It is powered by its original 429ci V8 engine with automatic transmission. The car runs and drives very good but when the engine is running it does have some upper valvetrain noise like it's not getting enough oil. This doesn't seem to affect its performance but we do show these noises in the video so you can listen to them for yourself. The transmission also appears to have a small leak and we assume that to be one of the seals but isn't anything major and shifts smoothly. Under the hood it is all there and stock with the exception of the A/C compressor which is missing but would be an easy fix. It drives down the road nice and smooth and straight and it brakes straight. This is a perfect car for someone who is mechanically inclined and can fix the couple issues it has as overall it is in good shape and just needs a little TLC and attention given to the couple issues it has.

Under Carriage: *Condition #3-

The underside of this Cadillac looks nice and clean and is mostly original. It has had a couple small repairs done to the floors and frame but appear to have been professional repairs. These are shown in detail in the video. But overall the underside is very solid and just had some previous repairs.
